Tucked within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park — at the south-western tip of Wales, far from the glow of busy towns and cities — our campsite sits in one of the darkest corners of the UK.
The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority has worked with the National Trust to establish a necklace of Dark Sky Discovery Sites, the nationally-recognised designation for top stargazing spots across the UK, around the coast.
Just down the road from the campsite, Martin's Haven National Trust car park is designated as one of the official Dark Sky Discovery Sites. Perched on a remote headland with good all-round visibility and almost no local light pollution, it's an exceptional spot — and a short trip from your pitch. The nearby Wooltack Point is particularly popular with photographers chasing long-exposure night shots, with the sea stretching away to the horizon in every direction.
Back at the campsite, the skies are still impressively dark. Simply step away from the lights of the farmhouse and let your eyes adjust. The Milky Way becomes visible overhead, constellations snap into focus, and on a clear night the experience is genuinely breathtaking — no equipment needed.
Whether you make the short journey to Martins Haven or just linger outside your tent with a hot drink, you'll find a sky the way it was always meant to look.
